Q & A

How often should i clean/check my water tank?

Every year.  The New Zealand Department of Health recommends you check your water and water tank annually.

How long will it take to clean my tank?

This can vary depending on the type and size of your water tank, and of course the amount of sludge and debris. However, most tank clean ups take between two and three hours.

Why does my water smell or taste bad?

It could be almost anything! Remember that anything that lands on your roof can end up in your water tank.  Usually a bad taste or smell comes as a result of debris, bacteria, or animal faeces.  Give us a call and we can talk you though checking out and fixing this issue.  We will most likely recommend testing the water, followed by a tank empty, clean, and refill, as well as ensuring measures are taken to minimise it recurring.
